We're raising money for Jeans for Genes and Macmillan!

It’s September again and the time of year where we run our annual fundraising events in support of Jeans for Genes and Macmillan Cancer support

This year we’ll be starting with Jeans for Genes on the 17th where staff will be encouraged to wear their jeans to work for three days in exchange for a small donation on the day. Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder. Money raised on Jeans for Genes Day fund the work the charity does and provide grants to organisations that aim to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.

On the 23rd of September we will run what we call our Macmillan Week, where every day staff bring in food they’ve made which they sell to other staff and all proceeds go towards Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan provide support to cancer sufferers, depending on their individual needs and are a priceless resource in places where family or the health care system cannot step in.
Our event doesn’t end there however, we also encourage colleagues and customers to bring in items they’d like to donate towards a raffle sale and our yard crew donate their time to wash staff cars, with proceeds once again going to Macmillan.

Last year we raised over £1600 and this year we aim to break our record so watch this space!

If you’re a customer or associate who would like to take part or donate something towards our raffle draw then get in touch with us today.
