The Challenge:

The project involved relocating 231 people from multiple offices in York, Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, Osbaldwick, Malton, Skipton and Huddersfield.

The Project:

• Meticulously planned move programme executed mostly at weekends to meet the logistical challenge of moving multiple sites whilst maintaining business continuity.
• York-headquartered office fit out and furniture company Ben Johnson, a strategic partner of Restore Harrow Green, supplied all new furniture for the new building.

• Single point of contact throughout the entire move programme allowed for swift response times to any additional requirements.
• Restore Harrow Green’s local team and experience offered Yorkshire Housing added flexibility at planning stages and onsite.

Not-for-profit Yorkshire Housing provides over 16,000 affordable homes throughout Yorkshire. It also provides management services to over 900 leaseholders and develops around 300 new properties each year. The aim of this project was to provide the best possible facilities for service delivery and have its corporate services teams and managers, who need to work together, based in one central location.

Due to the numerous offices and staff involved in the project, Yorkshire Housing needed to be certain they awarded the contract to a company that had a track record for delivering projects of a similar size and scope.  Our detailed pre-move planning process ensured everyone involved in the relocation was fully prepared and aware of their responsibilities throughout the project’s delivery.
