  • We’re sponsoring a volunteering expedition to BorneoEarlier this year we received a request to sponsor a young student realise her dream of volunteering in Borneo and we were more than happy to help. Over the last few months, Lilly, a student at Colchester Sixth Form College, has done an incredible job raising money for the trip, adding to our contribution by holding fundraising events such as boot sales, raffles and cake sales and now the time has almost come for her to start the four week adventure!  Lilly will be undertaking the trip with Camps International, who organise trips to some of the poorest communities around the world. During the expedition Lilly will visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, which rescues and treats orphaned and injured orangutans before they are released back into the wild. She’ll travel by boat down the Kinabatangan River before embarking on a 4 - 5 day trek through the jungle, wildlife spotting and visiting a memorial to World War 2 soldiers. The trip will also give her the chance to learn first aid and survival techniques whilst mastering a range of other traditional skills. Camps International have achieved some ...

  • Why have we rebranded and what does it mean to our customers? You might have noticed that we’ve changed our look and made an adjustment to our name. This decision was made after considerable discussion with branding experts and advise by focus groups after consumer consultations, so that we could be certain that the main beneficiaries of this exercise would be our customers.  Our goal was to ensure that doing business with us became simpler, faster and more affordable throughout our varied group of divisions; we’ve achieved this by making it easier for customers to navigate our offers, increase their understanding of the range of services we provide, and built a strong brand platform to support our growth at the same time. Our new look was designed to be unique, distinctive and noticeable and we hope that in time it will mark out Restore’s place in the market as a champion of our customers and their needs. In practical terms this means strengthening our offerings in a way that is meaningful to our business partners by simplifying our processes. Restore Harrow Green and the wider Restore Group operate by a set of values which ...

  • What is Achilles certification all about?Achilles was founded in Norway in 1990 with the goal of helping organisations to identify, assess, qualify, and monitor suppliers throughout the supply chain with an aim of reducing operating costs. The primary concept of 'by the industry for the industry' meant that information collected could be shared with others with similar business interests in order to reinforce business ties and save time and money. The service has since evolved to include a range of industries in over 23 countries across the world and has become synonymous with reliability, quality and trust. As supply chains become more globalised, buyers and suppliers need in depth risk assessment. Achilles no longer just focuses on cost reduction and supply chain mapping but offers various procurement risk management tools such as carbon footprint data, sustainability and CSR information. In short, it provides a wide ranging and detailed examination of compliance and improvement across all areas of a business, designed to provide assurance to large organisations when buying goods and services.  Harrow Green has been a certified member of Achilles for over 10 years. We were ...

  • How do we rank with Customer Service Excellence?Customer experience is one of the pillars of the way we do business at Harrow Green, and one of the ways we display this outwardly is by service and quality certifications that offer our customers  the reassurance that standardised measures of quality assessment are applied to our work.  One such assessment we aimed to renew recently, was our Customer Service Excellence ® (CSE) certification. As the only relocation professional to carry this badge we are very proud to receive it for the third consecutive year, after displaying our expertise in the field of customer service and commitment to making it easy for our customers to do business with us.   What is it all about? The CSE is a certification awarded by the Government after the company in question has undergone a thorough review by one their certified assessors. The aim behind the certification is to demonstrate that services are efficient, excellent, equitable and empowering by placing the customer in primary focus. Customer Service Excellence ® was developed as a practical tool for driving customer-focused change within service related organisations. The Customer Service Excellence ...
