Harrow Green: now available in Emerald

02.05.07

Workplace change provider Harrow Green has opened a new office and commercial facility in Ireland, its first operation outside the UK. Harrow Green Ireland will be situated in the award-winning Park West area of Dublin, Ireland’s largest business and residential campus.

The Dublin office is initially offering commercial removals and storage services and international people moves, but there are plans to migrate the group’s other services in the coming year.

Jim Farrell, an experienced senior manager with a strong relocation background, has been appointed to manage the new Dublin operation and head up future expansion throughout Ireland. Jim is well known and respected in the region, having worked for several years with Bullens as well as with Ireland’s largest removal company, Nat Ross. He’s already picked up Harrow Green Ireland’s first home-grown project: a relocation for AT&T in Dublin.

The new office can accommodate client requirements throughout both the Republic and Northern Ireland, supported by strategic partnerships with other Irish service providers and the group’s large resource on the UK mainland.

“The whole of Ireland has seen a huge transformation of its business economy over the past ten years or so,” said Jim Farrell, “and business is continuing to thrive, with some very big names in residence and rapid commercial growth.

“There are some fantastic opportunities for Harrow Green to support businesses here. Initially, we will focus on the service elements of business relocation and storage (including records management) and international removal services, but we already have plans to migrate the group’s other services here including interior design and build, furniture provision, engineering and IT services. The full workplace change portfolio will be in place very soon."

Nigel Grice, Harrow Green’s director responsible for regional growth, is very proud to have been able to tap into Irish talent and local expertise. He said: “Once again we have implemented our policy of using local talent and a local workforce. Whenever we open in a new town or city, we seek to make a contribution to the local economy by employing local people who understand the area and can work closely and knowledgeably with local businesses.”
