HG Promoted to National Provider for Norwich Union
30 JAN 2006
Workplace change company Harrow Green has been awarded a three-year contract to provide move services to Norwich Union and its companies across its entire UK estate.
Previously, the delivery of services was split between three providers: Premier Moves in the south, Pickfords in Scotland and Harrow Green in the North. Following a competitive selection process at the end of 2005, the entire UK-wide contract has been awarded to Harrow Green.
Alex Joyce, Acting Head of Property Services and Facilities at Norwich Union, said: “We chose Harrow Green for a variety of reasons, not least because of their excellent track record of previous work for us, including their award-nominated involvement in the Hill House Hammond closedown programme, which saw them successfully conduct a very difficult national project.
“Their commitment to creating new depots in Norwich, Edinburgh and Bristol to help service the contract was also a key factor in their selection. Harrow Green’s appointment will give us a more wide-ranging, efficient and dedicated service than we have previously experienced and we are looking forward to working together nationally.”
Doug Brown, Harrow Green’s Key Accounts Manager responsible for Norwich Union, believes that the appointment is testimony to the success of Harrow Green’s energetic national growth programme: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with Norwich Union. Our decision to invest in a greater UK presence was not just to build new business in the regions, but also to be able to confidently and efficiently deliver programmes for national clients and build our business with them beyond local service provision.
"With eleven sites and growing, 2006 sees us well on our way to offering the widest UK coverage of any commercial provider.”
The contract took effect from 1 January 2006.
