Contract Managers

Contract managers oversee the wider needs of the client over the term of our client partnerships. Their job is to achieve your short- and long-term goals through a potent mix of technical know-how and superb account management. They understand engineering, but they also understand how to negotiate contract terms, build costing programmes and establish performance standards. They are equally responsible for exceeding your expectations, protecting the safety of our workforce and meeting the demands of every live project activity.

Project Managers

Successfully completing a project, more often than not, will have primarily been down to the innovative talents of one or more of our project managers. They work closely with our contract managers, providing specific expertise on risk assessments and method statements for each and every activity. Health and safety considerations, regular client communication and responding expertly and confidently to changes in the workload are all part of a project manager’s working day. Without them, we work blind; with them, the vision and how to achieve it is clear for all to see and follow.

Qualified Engineers

When we need to ensure that complex engineering requirements are handled properly, the science of engineering is brought into the project arena. We regularly employ the services of proficient, qualified engineers to help us devise method statements relating to the machinery itself, its connections, and the environment in which it is located. Chartered, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers each provide expert, up-to-date applied knowledge that meets current legislation and sees project activities carried out accurately and safely.

Operations Managers

Whenever a team turns up on site, on time, equipped and ready to go to work, it is our operations managers who will have been responsible. When project demands compete, our ops managers keep every client happy with their versatile scheduling skills. When new staff join us, they identify training needs, from manual handling to engineering and the law. And when we need to bring in special resource or equipment, their little black book is a goldmine of contacts. Operations managers are ultimately responsible for the people, equipment, vehicles and standards that deliver dozens of successful projects every year.

Site Supervisors

Site supervisors are senior operatives who both undertake the physical work and supervise the rest of the team to whom they are assigned. Typically, they are senior engineers with many years’ experience who are also able to liaise between the client and the teams in action. Their job is to keep the project on schedule and ensure that everyone involved is actively working towards project deadlines. They also form a lynchpin between their teams’ activities and the work of other contractors and suppliers, making sure that everyone is communicating and that the complete project environment is synchronised and streamlined.

Skilled Operatives

Between them, Harrow Green’s engineering operatives possess the full range of abilities required to physically carry out every type and size of project. We combine both semi-skilled and skilled operatives – from drivers and banksmen to fitters, electricians and riggers. Each fulfils a specific role and teams are custom-built around your project, containing precisely the right level of resource and skills to achieve the agreed works in the right way, on time and on budget.
