Full Job Description

Department:

Business Relocation – Glasgow, Scotland

Responsible to:

Head of Business Relocation – Glasgow, Scotland

Liaison with:

Existing and prospective external customers, internal and external sales teams, business developers, divisional staff and stakeholders.

Main Purpose of Job:

To identify and develop business relocation quoting opportunities for the Glasgow branch of Harrow Green.

Main Tasks of Job:

  • Using the lead sources provided, qualify and manage each new lead by using probing questions to establish decision maker, then identify needs and demands to create opportunities using the benefits of our services to make appointment for the Head of Sales.
  • To research key target organisations and forthcoming relocation projects using a range of diverse media and by cold calling and emailing create opportunities to bid/quote for business.
  • To constantly appraise individual opportunities and by use of advanced listening and communication skills, identify opportunities for all divisions of Harrow Green and Restore.
  • To actively participate in targeted marketing campaigns designed by sector or geography.
  • To achieve / out perform targets through using key performance indicators set.
  • To arrange appointments for field based sales staff and to ensure prospective clients have accurate information prior to the appointment. All appointments / details to be confirmed and entered into the Moveware system.
  • To maintain database using the Company CRM system (currently Maximizer), updating where necessary, following to conclusion and keeping accurate records / administration.
  • Diarise timely follow up calls within the CRM system and ensure all such follow ups are made on schedule and updated accordingly.
  • Constantly seek out new revenue generating opportunities to ensure that targets are met.
  • To prioritise own work and work flexibly within the Glasgow team.
  • To undertake such training as may be suggested or arranged by the company.
  • To undertake any other duties which may be reasonably requested by senior staff or management.

  • Ability to work in a targeted orientated environment, meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to structure calls, qualify leads and knowledge of closing techniques.
  • Ability to identify multiple service opportunities from a single lead.
  • Pipeline management.
  • IT literate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organisational and customer service skills.
  • Positive / flexible attitude.
  • Good self motivation.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Standards:

  • Ensure that Company property is maintained at the highest level and faults and defects are promptly reported.
  • To use company policies & procedures, methodology, practice, systems and standards at all times.
  • To present the company professionally at all times.
  • Be aware of obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Encourage and maintain a clean desk policy.

General:

  • The above is not an exhaustive list of your duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as become necessary towards achieving the overall business objectives of the organisation.
  • You need to be aware that the Company operates a total ‘no smoking’ policy and if you wish to smoke you may find the opportunity restricted either on Company premises, vehicles used in the business or client locations.
